About the Research Network

The Child Sexual Abuse Research Reduction Network was established in 2023 by a group of researchers committed to combatting child sexual abuse (CSA). The network’s mission is to bring together scholars, practitioners, government agencies, and private and not-for-profit organisations from around the world to develop new and interdisciplinary approaches to addressing this pernicious crime type.

About the inaugural workshop

The network’s inaugural workshop will bring key researchers and thought leaders together to share their work, foster new collaborations, and develop unified solutions to better address the most pressing issues of online CSA.

We welcome abstract/paper submissions across a broad range of areas, including identifying factors associated with offending, the development of forensic tools aimed at improving investigatory practices, the promotion of interventions oriented around reducing victimisation, and exploring new ways to support victims, amongst other relevant topics.

This event will be held in Adelaide on December 4-5, directly before the Australia and New Zealand Society of Criminology Conference in Melbourne from December 6-8. We understand that many workshop participants will attend both events, and will timetable the event accordingly.

Cost of registration fee (including all event catering), social events, and 2 nights accommodation will be covered by the organising committee for the lead presenter on all accepted and delivered papers. Co-authors are welcome to attend as delegates. Papers will be included in a special issue of a leading academic journal.
